About ManyMonths®, MaM®, and MaD® Design

Wee Seedling discovered ManyMonths® and MaM® Design while looking for a merino wool clothing line that shares our values. Wee are thrilled that ManyMonths® and MaM® Design align with our intentions in the clothing industry and beyond. 

Bettina, original founder and head designer at ManyMonths® and MaM® Design, grew the brand from a tiny vision to a full grown dream. The brands inspiration comes from the Scandinavian environment, the experiences of the wise women in their families, the wishes of their precious children and the urge of getting back to nature. The underlying idea of ManyMonths® and MaM® Design is to offer products supporting an attachment parenting lifestyle, valuing the nature around them and bringing the joy and comfort only the most wonderful materials can bring to both babies and parents alike.

ManyMonths® and MaM® Design is committed to ongoing product development. Their styles are carefully designed to fit children's needs in the different stages of their development and the whole motherhood. With 2022 being their 20 year anniversary, they have many years backing the quality of their pieces and practicality of their designs. Their products grow along your child, transitioning and adapting from month to month, and even years. They engage babies and parents in new projects, they use and wash and evaluate samples themselves, and they listen to feedback from all the countries where their products are sold. Danielle at Wee Seedling uses their products and communicates feedback to their team in Finland.

Their sewing facility is a GOTS-certified, eco-friendly, Scandinavian-owned company founded in 2004, leading the way in ethical textile manufacturing. ManyMonths® cooperates very closely with their coordinators at the sewing facility and usually communicates with them every office day by email and Skypes with them throughout the year.

All members of the sewing facility staff are 21+ years of age. The working day is eight hours long as they are in Finland and the employees are paid at least 20% more than local wages. They have health insurance and 3 months of maternity leave paid by the company, no forced overtime and a minimum of six full days off each month. A nourishing lunch is served daily. The facilities are light and modern, the machinery professional and cleaning is done very frequently to keep the air fresh.

The sewing facility pays special attention to safety concerns, both at the workplace and in the use of fabric dyes. They only work with dye houses that have been tested for harmful substances. The Öko-Tex Standard 100 is followed and lab tests are frequently conducted by SGS to ensure that no harmful dyeing agents have been added during the manufacturing process.
